Vaneometer
My Dwyer Vaneometer came in the mail on Friday and after a challenging weekend on Hospice duty I finally had a chance to unbox it today and test my fume hood. Success! At full speed I generate 150-200 fpm and I can throttle the fan down quite low and still stay above the approved number of 100 fpm. The Vaneometer is a simple piece of equipment – a plastic box with a lightweight free swinging plastic vane inside. It generates a big increase in my confidence in feeling safe for all its simplicity however.
